I was talking to a co-worker, and she said that all media blends together for her. I'm not trying to diss her, by the way; let me put that up front. She puts on TV and movies as background noise. I think a lot of people do this, many people say they do online, and they're not bad for doing it. It's entertainment; you can do what you want with your media of choice.
I don't really want to consume media like that though. I would like to sit down with it, really sit with it if I like it. Take it in so I don't forget it... because I forget a lot of what I've watched. I don't know why. Some people get obsessed with media and it never leaves their heads. I'm the exact opposite. It just slips through my fingers. Is it my mental shit that makes me forget--my depression, PTSD? I don't know. (I read somewhere that depression and PTSD can affect your memory.)
I don't feel very normal for forgetting media so easily.
I also have trouble talking to people, so if I could just remember the things I've watched, I could have something to talk about. This is all a part of my late 2024 quest to reinvigorate my interest in True Crime to get along with people at work, lol.
So this page is going to be a big list of various media, video games, movies, shows, a summary of what went on in each, and how I felt. Hopefully so I can retain memories better and not be socially awkward. But also, I think taking a moment to reflect on what I saw will give me a deeper appreciation for it. I mean, ever since I started this site, it seems the more I reflect on life, the greater appreciation I have for it...
